The Greek Starter Kit was priced at GRD 5,000. It contains 45 coins:
All the coins included in the Greek Starter Kit were minted in France (1, 2, 5, 10, 50 cents with the mintmak "F"), Finland (1, 2 euros with the mintmak "S" for Suomi) and Spain (20 cents with the mintmark "E" for Espana). Greek euro coins feature a unique design for every one of the eight coins and they were all designed by Georgios Stamatopoulos. The minor coins depict Greek ships, the middle coins portray famous Greeks and the two large denominations show images of Greek history and mythology. Uniquely, the value of the coins is expressed on the national side in the Greek alphabet, as well as being on the common side in the Roman alphabet. |
