Details The coin is dedicated to Lithuania's Independence Centenary Song Celebration, where this year the national anthem will be sung with special pride and sensitivity, coinciding with the centenary of the restoration of the independence of Lithuania.

The Lithuania Song Festival (also called Song Celebration) is a massive traditional song and dance festival. Since regaining the Independence in 1990, the event takes place every four years. The most recent event took place from July 2–6, 2014 in Vilnius. The 2018 edition of the Song Celebration is dedicated to the Centenary of the Restoration of the independent state of Lithuania and will take place in Kaunas and Vilnius between 30 June and 6 July. In recent years the main event has been hosted in Vingis Park in Vilnius.

The motif consists of stylized figures of people and birds characteristic of one of the genres of Lithuanian popular art - paper cuttings symbolizing popular songs and dances. The indication of the issuing country "LIETUVA" is in the lower part, in the center, the year of issue "2018" is on the left side, and the mint mark of Lithuania is on the right side.

On 7 November 2003, UNESCO proclaimed the tradition of the Song and Dance Celebration in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity and in 2008 it has been inscribed in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
