Details The coin marks the 200 years since the birth of Grand Duke William III. William III was King of the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg from 1849 until his death in 1890. He was also the Duke of Limburg from 1849 until the abolition of the duchy in 1866.

The design depicts on the left the effigy of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Henry, with his gaze turned to the left, with the year "2017" at the top and the inscription HENRI at the bottom and the symbol of the Mint of Utrecht with the symbol of director of the Mint. On the right, the effigy of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke William III surrounded on the right by the inscription "GUILLAUME III * 1817." In the lower arch the inscription "GRANDS-DUCS DE LUXEMBOURG".
