Details	Founded 150 years ago, the Red Cross and Red Crescent network remains as relevant and driven as ever in its mission to alleviate human suffering and provide emergency assistance when needed, whether caused by disaster or conflict. The design depicts a visual composition based on the well-known cross, symbol of the organization, replicated several times to represent the expansion of the humanitarian action both in Portugal and abroad. The contour of a hand in the background symbolizes the different kinds of help given by the organization to the people, mostly medical, but also and among others: cooperating, constructing and supporting.
