Details The Official Vatican 2005 BU Set "Sede Vacante" contains all 8 circulating euro coins (1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 cents and 1, 2 euros) of the Vatican City.

Following the death of Pope John Paul II in April 2005, the Vatican issued special coins during the period of Sede vacante depicting the emblem of the Apostolic Chamber and the coat of arms of the Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church.

The sculptor, Daniela Longo, is credited with the design of the Vatican Euro coins. Luciana De Simoni is credited as the engraver for the Vatican 1 and 2 cent Euro coins. Maria Angela Cassol is credited as the engraver for the Vatican 20 and 50 cent Euro coins. Ettore Lorenzo Frapiccini is credited as the engraver for the Vatican 5 cent and 1 Euro coins, and Maria Carmela Colaneri is credited as the engraver for the Vatican 10 cent and 2 Euro coins
