Details The coin celebrates the 150th Anniversary of Parliament of 1863, when regular Parliament sessions started in Finland.

The Eduskunta is the parliament of Finland. The unicameral parliament has 200 members and meets in the Parliament House in Helsinki. It was preceded by the Diet of Finland, which had succeeded the Riksdag of the Estates in 1809.

The coin depicts the year 1863 and a shoot growing out of it symbolising the start of democracy and Finland’s development.
