In some countries, the National Banks are solely responsible for issuing coins and banknotes; no mint exist.

• Central African States Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon
• West African States Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo
